This portrait is one of my favourite to date so naturally, it's one of the most challenging for me to photograph and truly capture the beauty of the painting! But trust me, this painting is gorgeous with endless layers of paint to refract the light, creating dimension and interest throughout the piece.
A lovely portrait of "Dominica" who is affectionately known as Do in the barn. I knew when I began the painting that her character and soft eye had to be portrayed perfectly to capture her essence. So her eye alone has 25+ layers of paint to create the effect I wanted.
This painting now hangs in a place of honor at Chris Delia Stables, the same stable that Do herself lives!
